Mkango Resources ( (TSE:MKA) ) has provided an announcement.
Mkango Resources has called an annual general and special meeting for 5 June 2026, seeking shareholder approval to amend its stock option plan and extend the term of certain insider options from 10 to 15 years, subject to TSX Venture Exchange consent. Without approval, nearly 6.9 million options expiring in 2026 would have to be exercised or lapse, potentially affecting management and insider incentives.
The company is also asking shareholders to back a waiver of TSX-V oversight of its subsidiary Mkango Rare Earths Limited once it merges with Crown Proptech Acquisitions and lists on Nasdaq. Mkango argues that U.S. regulatory supervision by the SEC and Nasdaq will sufficiently protect investors while avoiding duplicative oversight that could slow MKAR’s operations and strategic execution.
More about Mkango Resources
Mkango Resources is a dual-listed rare earths company on AIM and the TSX Venture Exchange, aiming to become a market leader in recycled rare earth magnets, alloys and oxides through its majority interest in Maginito.
