Mink Ventures Corp. ( (TSE:MINK) ) has issued an update.
Mink Ventures has commenced its winter diamond drill program at the Warren nickel-copper-cobalt property near Timmins, with drilling to later shift to its Montcalm project. The current campaign targets the highly prospective “A” Zone, where new geological interpretation and recent Mise-a-la-Masse geophysical work suggest a broad, flat-lying, near-surface body of higher-grade semi-massive to massive sulphides that may have been under-tested by historic inclined drilling, prompting a series of shallow vertical holes over a 120-metre strike. Additional drilling will test the untested North Zone, where grab samples returned nearly 1% nickel and a strong “bull’s-eye” geophysical anomaly has been defined, as well as the D Zone, a 50-metre-wide trenched sulphide-rich zone with historical chip sampling indicating encouraging nickel grades. Recent prospecting also generated anomalous nickel and copper values near airborne VTEM targets in the northeast of the property, which could see follow-up ground geophysics to prioritize future drilling, signaling a systematic effort to expand and refine the project’s critical minerals potential.
