Miata Metals Corp. ( (TSE:MMET) ) has issued an update.
Miata Metals has reported its best drill intercept to date at the Sela Creek Gold Project in Suriname, with hole 26DDH-BB-003 at the Big Berg target cutting 67.5 metres at 1.13 g/t gold from surface and 96 metres at 1.41 g/t gold from 96 metres, including several higher-grade zones. The results confirm a broad, near-surface gold system at Big Berg, interpreted to lie within the same structural corridor as the Jons Trend discovery about one kilometre away.
Additional holes at Big Berg have demonstrated continuity of mineralization, with multiple intercepts of gold-bearing zones that remain open along strike and at depth. Management says the scale and geometry of the system suggest potential amenability to open-pit mining and reinforce the district-scale potential of Sela Creek, with one drill rig now redeployed to expand the new Big Berg discovery.
