Methanex and Entropy’s Joint Carbon Reduction Initiative

Advantage Energy (TSE:AAV) has released an update.

Methanex, a major methanol producer, and Entropy Inc., a carbon capture technology firm, are collaborating on a project to reduce emissions at Methanex’s facility in Alberta. The initiative, which targets capturing 400 tonnes of CO2 daily, involves a significant investment that will create construction and permanent jobs, while also using captured CO2 to produce additional methanol. The project represents a strategic partnership aimed at advancing carbon capture and utilization technologies, highlighting Canadian leadership in the effort to transition to a low-carbon economy.
