Metals Exploration PLC, a Philippines-based gold producer, has announced a structured buyback of shares from Runruno Holdings Limited, settlement of debts, and a production fee agreement. This strategic financial maneuver, which will be funded through the company’s existing cash and operational cash flows, is subject to shareholder approval and will also involve a waiver under Rule 9 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers. Additionally, an update on the acquisition of YMC Group was provided, with an extended deadline set for 30 August 2024.
