MEC Resources Ltd, through its investee company Advent Energy Ltd, is involved in a legal proceeding concerning the PEP 11 Joint Venture, where Advent holds an 85% stake. The Federal Court proceedings are focused on a judicial review of a decision by the Commonwealth-New South Wales Offshore Petroleum Joint Authority to refuse applications made by the joint venture. The hearing, initially scheduled for September 2025, has been adjourned and will be conducted by Justice Jackson in New South Wales.
