The latest announcement is out from Mayfair Gold ( (TSE:MFG) ).

Mayfair Gold has released initial results from its 2025 tight-spaced grade control drilling program at the near-surface Phase 1 starter pit of the Fenn-Gib gold project in Northern Ontario. The work, involving 56 short vertical diamond drill holes over roughly one million tonnes of anticipated initial plant feed, is designed to validate the existing resource model and improve definition of ore-waste boundaries for early mine life.

Interim data from 36 holes suggest potential for positive grade reconciliation versus the current block model and support assumptions used for the early years of the project, bolstering confidence in the start-up phase and in discussions with potential lenders. While the results have not yet been incorporated into the latest pre-feasibility study and are pending full QAQC and remaining assays, they are already providing detailed mining-scale insight into ore geometry, dilution, and potential ore loss, contributing to de-risking the project ahead of construction and production ramp-up.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:MFG) stock is a Hold with a C$5.50 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Mayfair Gold stock, see the TSE:MFG Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on TSE:MFG Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, TSE:MFG is a Neutral.

The score is primarily held back by weak financial performance (pre-revenue status, ongoing losses, and continued cash burn despite improvements). Technicals are supportive with a clear multi-timeframe uptrend and moderate momentum, while valuation remains challenged due to a negative P/E and no dividend yield. Corporate updates are positive for visibility and execution, but do not yet resolve the fundamental funding and profitability gap.
