Mayfair Gold Corp. has publicly denounced a lawsuit by Muddy Waters Capital as baseless, asserting that it seeks to undermine the company’s governance and breach contractual obligations to employees. The legal action, which involved freezing $4 million in funds intended for employee termination payments, has been criticized by Mayfair’s Chairman for being detrimental and unnecessary.
