Mayfair Gold ( (TSE:MFG) ) has issued an update.
On May 13, 2026, Mayfair Gold Corp. announced it had strengthened its technical leadership team with the appointment of professional geologist Adree DeLazzer as Vice President, Exploration and Jean François Métail as Vice President, Mineral Resource Management. The moves deepen the company’s in-house expertise in large-scale gold systems and resource modelling as it advances the Fenn-Gib project from development toward eventual operations.
DeLazzer, who brings two decades of exploration and mine-site experience across Canada, will lead exploration across Mayfair’s expanded land package, including the South Block and recently acquired Plato properties along the Destor-Porcupine Deformation Zone. Métail, a geo-scientist with more than 30 years of global experience and a track record at Barrick Gold and Detour Gold, will provide strategic geological oversight, resource modelling and technical de-risking for Fenn-Gib as Mayfair builds out its long-term growth pipeline.
Spark’s Take on MFG Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, MFG is a Neutral.
The score is held down primarily by the company’s pre-revenue status with ongoing losses and cash burn, and by weak-to-neutral technical momentum (below key moving averages with a negative MACD). The main offset is a comparatively strong balance sheet with minimal debt and higher equity, providing financial flexibility despite continued funding dependence.
