Materialise NV, a leader in additive manufacturing and medical software solutions, has released its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year 2024. Headquartered in Belgium, Materialise combines decades of 3D printing experience to support industries such as healthcare, automotive, and consumer goods with innovative applications.
In its latest financial report, Materialise announced a modest increase in total revenue for 2024, driven largely by significant growth in its Medical segment. The company saw a year-over-year revenue rise of 4.2% to 266,765 kEUR, underscoring the strength of its medical offerings, which saw a growth of 14.8% over the same period.
The key performance metrics indicate mixed results across different segments. While the Materialise Medical segment thrived, the Manufacturing segment faced challenges due to global macroeconomic conditions, particularly in Europe. Overall adjusted EBITDA for 2024 remained stable at 31,484 kEUR, though the adjusted EBIT saw a slight decrease. Notably, the company’s net profit more than doubled compared to the previous year, reaching 13,406 kEUR.
Looking forward, Materialise remains optimistic about its Medical segment’s growth potential. However, challenges persist for its Manufacturing segment due to ongoing economic headwinds. The company plans to continue investing in its Medical and Software segments while maintaining cost control measures, aiming for revenue growth in 2025 within a range of 270,000 to 285,000 kEUR.
