Maruzen Showa Unyu Co., Ltd. announced an internal reorganization, including the abolition of its Human Resources Planning Department effective March 31, 2026, as part of a streamlining of its administrative structure. The move is accompanied by a reshuffling of executive responsibilities, particularly around human resources, quality control, and digital transformation functions.

Effective April 1, 2026, Executive Officer Shigemasa Nozaki will be promoted to Managing Executive Officer while continuing to oversee the Kashima Branch and Narita Logistics Center, and will remain president of Kashima Tank Terminal and Kashima Bulk Terminal. Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer Yuichi Ando will continue to oversee all departments and affiliates but will narrow his direct remit to the Corporate Planning Department, while responsibilities for human resources, training, and quality control shift to Managing Executive Officer Motohiro Teraoka.

Managing Executive Officer Ryoji Shimada will focus on the DX Promotion Department and Maruzen Transport Co., Ltd., where he continues to serve as president, signaling an emphasis on digitalization and group synergies. Executive Officer Hiroshi Aida remains responsible for the General Affairs Department and assumes the role of its General Manager, while Takao Suzuki’s remit is streamlined to General Manager of the Human Resources Department following the abolition of the Human Resources Planning Department.
