Caeneus Minerals Limited ( (AU:MTL) ) has issued an announcement.
Mantle Minerals has completed high-resolution gravity and passive seismic surveys at its Yule River Project, about 35 kilometres west of Port Hedland, refining the understanding of bedrock architecture beneath transported cover. The work has confirmed the project’s prospectivity for gold, VHMS base metals, and magmatic nickel-copper mineralisation within a structurally complex part of the Mallina Basin that is analogous to the setting of De Grey Mining’s Hemi gold discovery.
The new data set has revealed multiple discrete gravity anomalies, including non-magnetic targets that would not be detected by magnetic surveys alone, and has led to the definition of nine priority drill targets covering several mineralisation styles. Mantle is now planning a Phase 1 drilling program to test these anomalies, which could materially advance the project and potentially enhance the company’s exploration pipeline if significant mineralisation is intersected.
