An update from Mako Mining Corp ( (TSE:MKO) ) is now available.

Mako Mining has postponed its special shareholder meeting from February 10 to March 3, 2026, as it works with Sailfish Royalty Corp. to restructure the US$40 million consideration for the planned acquisition of the Mt. Hamilton Gold-Silver Project in Nevada. The revised structure is intended to maintain economic equivalence while preserving flexibility for developing Mt. Hamilton, with repayment to be made only through gold deliveries from Mako’s other projects rather than encumbering the tungsten and other mineral potential at the site.

The move follows recent U.S. policy developments, including the launch of Project Vault and a new critical minerals initiative, which heighten the strategic significance of Mt. Hamilton’s tungsten target as a potential domestic supply source. By removing a broad royalty over all minerals and engaging political advisers and U.S. officials, Mako aims to accelerate advancement of the fully permitted project and better position itself within the evolving U.S. critical minerals landscape, while still requiring shareholder and exchange approvals to close the deal.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:MKO) stock is a Buy with a C$12.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Mako Mining Corp stock, see the TSE:MKO Stock Forecast page.
