Macfarlane ( (GB:MACF) ) has provided an announcement.

Macfarlane Group PLC has granted new conditional share awards under its Performance Share Plan to senior executives, including the chief executive, group finance director and other key managers, over ordinary shares of 25p that are subject to performance conditions and a further two-year holding period after vesting in March 2029. The awards, which range from 50% to 150% of base salary depending on role, strengthen the equity-based incentives of the company’s leadership and align their interests more closely with shareholders, signalling a continued focus on long-term performance and value creation.

The Performance Share Plan grants increase total options and share interests held by the participating directors and senior managers, with the chief executive Peter Atkinson now holding options over more than 2.1 million shares alongside a significant existing shareholding. By reinforcing long-term incentive structures rather than providing immediate cash rewards, the move underscores Macfarlane’s adherence to its remuneration policy and prevailing governance standards, and may be viewed positively by investors focused on disciplined executive pay and sustained business growth.

The most recent analyst rating on (GB:MACF) stock is a Hold with a £65.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Macfarlane stock, see the GB:MACF Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on MACF Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, MACF is a Neutral.

The score is held back primarily by the sharp 2025 profitability decline and higher leverage, which increase risk despite positive free cash flow. Technicals are also weak-to-neutral with the price below key moving averages. These are partially offset by an attractive dividend yield and a moderate P/E.
