The latest announcement is out from Lynas Rare Earths ( (AU:LYC) ).
Lynas Rare Earths has renewed and enhanced its long-term supply agreement with Japan Australia Rare Earths, extending the partnership to 2038 and cementing its role as a core supplier to Japanese manufacturers. The deal includes a market-linked floor price of US$110 per kilogram for NdPr, firm offtake of 5,000 tonnes of NdPr annually, and commitments covering up to 75% of Lynas’s heavy rare earth oxide output for Japan, which is expected to stabilise pricing, support further investment in Lynas’s operations, and underpin Japan’s efforts to secure reliable rare earth supplies.
Under the arrangement, JARE will share in upside when NdPr prices exceed US$150 per kilogram, and Lynas, JARE and Sojitz will jointly manage customer contracts to ensure no opportunity loss to Lynas. The agreement follows Lynas’s successful first production of separated heavy rare earth oxides in 2025 and is positioned to improve rare earth market dynamics while reinforcing Lynas’s strategic standing in global supply chains.
The most recent analyst rating on (AU:LYC) stock is a Buy with a A$22.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Lynas Rare Earths stock, see the AU:LYC Stock Forecast page.
