Lundin Gold ( (TSE:LUG) ) just unveiled an update.
Lundin Gold reported exceptionally high-grade drill results from its conversion and near-mine exploration programs at the Fruta del Norte mine in Ecuador, including some of the highest grade-thickness gold intercepts ever recorded on the property. The latest intersections at the FDNS, FDN East, and FDN zones confirm continuity of mineralization, expand the known footprint of high-grade ore, and reinforce FDNS as a major driver of ongoing Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve growth.
The company is executing the largest exploration campaign in its history in 2026, with about 133,000 metres of drilling planned, most of it focused on conversion and near-mine targets. With 17 rigs active across epithermal gold and copper-gold porphyry targets, Lundin Gold aims to extend mine life, delineate new zones close to existing infrastructure, and potentially add new gold and copper-gold resources, supporting long-term production and value creation for stakeholders.
