Lode Resources Ltd ( (AU:LDR) ) has issued an announcement.
Lode Resources has begun an 18-hole drilling program at its 100%-owned Rock Abbey antimony prospect in the New England Fold Belt, New South Wales, following strong surface sampling results. The programme aims to test high-grade antimony and associated gold mineralisation identified over a strike length of up to 1.7km, positioning Rock Abbey as a potentially significant addition to the company’s New England Antimony Project.
Grab samples from historical mine dumps at Rock Abbey have returned very high antimony grades, including up to 37.7% Sb, along with notable gold values that suggest similarities to the nearby Hillgrove antimony-gold system. With shallow historic workings expected to allow rapid drill testing and results, Rock Abbey, together with Magwood and Lode’s Tasmanian antimony assets, strengthens the company’s critical minerals portfolio and aligns with the NSW government’s Critical Minerals and High-Tech Metals Strategy.
