An update from Stratabound Minerals ( (TSE:LOD) ) is now available.
Lode Gold Resources is advancing its flagship Fremont Gold Project in Mariposa, California, an historic brownfield mine on the Mother Lode Belt with multiple deposits, extensive underground workings and strong infrastructure, where only a small portion of the current resource has been exploited. The company has begun a new mineral resource block model that incorporates more than 7,000 newly digitized historical underground channel samples and reinterprets Fremont as a continuous mineralized body suited to bulk underground mining, a move expected to improve geological confidence, refine grade distribution and support its strategy to resume operations under an updated NI 43-101-compliant resource estimate.
The revised modeling approach, which uses lower cut-off grades informed by updated local mining cost assumptions, is intended to better capture the scale and continuity of the deposit for a bulk mining scenario. This work positions Lode Gold to potentially enhance the economic profile of Fremont and strengthen its industry positioning as it progresses toward possible underground production decisions at one of California’s historic gold mines.
