Stratabound Minerals ( (TSE:LOD) ) has issued an announcement.

Lode Gold Resources has begun the permitting process for a ten-hole, 1,500-metre surface drilling program at its Fremont Gold Mine in California by hiring a San Francisco-based legal and permitting advisory group with prior success in the state. The campaign is aimed at collecting metallurgical and geotechnical data to support a planned pre-feasibility study, de-risk underground mine design, and optimize early-stage development scenarios rather than expand the existing resource.

The company also disclosed a contractual dispute involving subsidiary 1475039 BC Ltd. and a business partner, noting that a claim for compensation has been filed and legal counsel retained as Lode Gold maintains it met its obligations. The developments underscore Fremont’s progression toward more advanced engineering studies while highlighting a legal overhang that investors and other stakeholders will watch for potential financial or strategic implications.
