Lithium Americas Corp. has announced an extension of the deadline for the second tranche of General Motors’ $330 million investment, aimed at developing the Thacker Pass lithium resource, the largest of its kind in North America. The partnership is awaiting the closure of a $2.26 billion DOE loan, which is a prerequisite for the investment and is expected to be finalized by the year’s end.
