Liontown Resources has announced a significant expansion of its strategic partnership with LG Energy Solution, including a US$250 million investment and a 10-year offtake agreement extension. The deal bolsters Liontown’s financial position with a total cash balance of approximately A$501 million, ensuring robust funding for the Kathleen Valley lithium project’s production ramp-up. Additionally, the companies will explore the feasibility of establishing an IRA-compliant lithium refinery, marking a strategic step towards Liontown’s goal to become a major provider of battery minerals.
