Peak Minerals ( (AU:LRM) ) has issued an announcement.
Lion Rock Minerals has reported new reconnaissance drilling results from its Minta Project in Cameroon, confirming high-grade insitu rutile of up to 2.6% and intercepts including 4 metres at 1.8% across residual and alluvial targets. The latest assays outline a large rutile target over 24 kilometres of strike in the Ayong Yerap Basin, which sits alongside extensive residual rutile zones seen as key to the company’s resource growth.
High-grade alluvial mineralisation has been mapped over a basin up to 500 metres wide, with rutile making up to 81% of total heavy minerals in some samples, underscoring the potential for a valuable rutile‑monazite‑zircon mix. Lion Rock is expanding drill teams to six to accelerate Stage 2 infill drilling across 507 square kilometres and to test the 25 square kilometre Yong alluvial basin, with results intended to underpin a maiden mineral resource estimate planned for the second half of 2026.
