Lion Rock Resources ( (TSE:ROAR) ) has issued an announcement.
Lion Rock Resources has completed the first phase of drilling at its Volney Project in South Dakota’s Black Hills, executing 3,600 metres across 15 diamond drill holes that tested both gold-bearing structures and lithium-bearing pegmatites along the Volney trend near several historic mines. The program, the first modern drill test on this trend, intersected multiple sulphide-bearing shear zones with quartz veining and silicification consistent with high-grade gold mineralization observed at surface, as well as spodumene-bearing pegmatites and associated cassiterite and tantalite, underscoring Volney’s potential as a multi-commodity asset spanning precious metals and critical minerals; with core processing complete and assays pending, the results are expected to shape an expanded Phase 2 drill campaign and could strengthen the company’s position in both the gold and battery metals exploration space.
