Liberty Gold ( (TSE:LGD) ) just unveiled an update.

Liberty Gold Corp., a U.S.-focused gold developer, is advancing its 100%-owned Black Pine oxide gold project in Idaho’s Great Basin, a past-producing heap-leach deposit moving through feasibility and permitting toward a modern open-pit mine. The company targets technically simple, long-life projects with strong environmental standards and collaborative permitting to generate sustainable value for investors.

The company reported final results from its 2025 drilling campaign at Black Pine, with 39,896 meters drilled in 200 holes, delivering significant resource growth at the Rangefront zone and new high-grade discoveries at Discovery. The program, aimed at supporting the feasibility study, mine planning and permitting and adding ounces, contributed to a 25% increase in indicated gold ounces at Rangefront versus the 2024 study, and Liberty plans a further 14,000 meters of drilling in 2026, with a resource update expected in 2027 that could further enhance project scale and economics.

Drilling included geotechnical, metallurgical, hydrologic and infill work across Rangefront, CD Pit and Discovery, as well as sonic drilling in historic heap-leach and waste dumps to refine grade and metallurgical models. With the deposit remaining open to the north, east and west and 90 late 2025 holes still to be incorporated into resources, the results underscore Black Pine’s expansion potential and support Liberty Gold’s positioning as a growing U.S. oxide gold developer.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:LGD) stock is a Sell with a C$1.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Liberty Gold stock, see the TSE:LGD Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on LGD Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, LGD is a Neutral.

The score is primarily held back by weak financial performance (no revenue, ongoing losses, and negative free cash flow implying continued financing dependence). Technicals add pressure with bearish near-term signals (below key short-term moving averages and negative MACD). Valuation provides limited support because the company is loss-making and no dividend yield is available.
