Legacy Minerals Holdings Ltd. ( (AU:LGM) ) just unveiled an announcement.
Legacy Minerals has reported a new greenfields gold discovery at the Mascotte prospect within its Mt Carrington project in New South Wales, following the first ever diamond drill hole beneath a 1.3km line of historical workings. The maiden hole intersected 40 metres at 1.0 grams per tonne gold, including higher-grade zones up to 5.6 grams per tonne gold with elevated silver, in a zone that sits entirely outside the existing mineral resource estimate.
The mineralisation is open to surface, along strike and at depth, and displays grades and widths comparable to the nearby Kylo, Strauss and Silver King epithermal deposits, suggesting the potential for a new deposit within the broader Mt Carrington system. With six holes drilled for 1,191 metres and assays pending on five, the company plans further drilling and ground geophysics to target higher-grade zones, which could materially enhance the project’s resource base and underscore the prospectivity of both Mascotte and other silver-dominant deposits on the tenement.
The most recent analyst rating on (AU:LGM) stock is a Hold with a A$0.15 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Legacy Minerals Holdings Ltd. stock, see the AU:LGM Stock Forecast page.
