Laureate Education reported its financial results for the second quarter and first half of 2025, showing a mixed performance. The company experienced a 5% increase in revenue for the second quarter compared to the same period in 2024, reaching $524.2 million, while net income decreased to $97.4 million from $128.4 million in the previous year.
Key financial metrics indicate that operating income for the second quarter rose to $193.3 million from $166.6 million in 2024, and Adjusted EBITDA increased to $214.5 million. However, net income for the first half of 2025 fell to $77.9 million from $117.5 million in 2024, primarily due to foreign currency exchange losses. Despite a 2% decrease in reported revenue for the first half of the year, organic constant currency revenue increased by 6%.
Looking ahead, Laureate Education has raised its full-year 2025 guidance, anticipating revenue growth of 3%-4% on a reported basis and 6%-7% on an organic constant currency basis. The company expects Adjusted EBITDA to grow by 9%-10% on a reported basis. Management remains optimistic about its strategic priorities and financial outlook, supported by strong cash flow and a solid balance sheet.
