Landstar System ( (LSTR) ) has shared an update.

On April 2, 2026, Landstar System, Inc. announced that longtime executive officer Michael K. Kneller will resign as vice president, general counsel and secretary, effective May 8, 2026, to join transportation-focused law firm Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson & Feary, P.C. To maintain continuity in its legal and corporate governance functions, Landstar appointed current vice president and assistant general counsel Vallie S. Dugas as interim vice president, general counsel and secretary, effective the same day as Kneller’s departure.

The leadership transition in Landstar’s top legal role marks a significant change in the company’s executive ranks after more than two decades of service by Kneller, who has been an executive officer since 2005. By elevating an internal candidate on an interim basis, Landstar signals an emphasis on stability and institutional knowledge while it manages the succession in a key position overseeing legal affairs and board-level governance.

The most recent analyst rating on (LSTR) stock is a Hold with a $145.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Landstar System stock, see the LSTR Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on LSTR Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, LSTR is a Neutral.

The score is driven primarily by solid financial resilience (low leverage and ongoing free cash flow) offset by a clear earnings/margin downshift. A cautious earnings update with material claims/insurance pressure and only modest demand/pricing improvement, combined with weak-to-neutral technicals and a high P/E valuation, keeps the overall score in the upper-50s.
