Landmark Bancorp, Inc. has announced the appointment of Abigail M. Wendel as its new President and CEO, effective March 29, 2024, succeeding Michael E. Scheopner who will retire but remain as a non-executive until the end of the year. Wendel brings over 27 years of banking experience, recently serving as President of Consumer Banking at UMB Bank. Her employment agreement includes a $480,000 base salary, additional incentives, and stock options. Scheopner will continue as a director until the 2025 annual meeting, with all his stock awards vesting on the transition date.
