KONGSBERG Divests Maritime Unit to Norvestor

Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (NSKFF) has released an update.

KONGSBERG is divesting its steering gear and rudder business to a Nordic private equity fund managed by Norvestor, as part of its strategy to focus on decarbonisation and digitalisation in maritime technology. The deal includes the transfer of a business that generated NOK 850 million in 2023, aligning with Kongsberg Maritime’s integrated systems approach. The sale, expected to finalize by Q1 2025, will see both parties collaborating to deliver competitive solutions to their global customers.
