Kingsgate and Thailand Extend TAFTA Arbitration Period

Kingsgate Consolidated Limited (AU:KCN) has released an update.

Kingsgate Consolidated Limited has announced a mutual agreement with the Thai government to extend the holding period of the arbitral award under the Thailand-Australia Free Trade Agreement until September 2025, following political changes in Thailand. This extension allows time for the new Thai administration to address issues related to the Chatree Gold Mine, which continues to ramp up operations despite the extended negotiation period. The company remains hopeful for a positive resolution benefiting all stakeholders.
