Kina Securities Ltd. reported a 15% rise in underlying net profit after tax to K126 million and a 20% increase in statutory NPAT to K121 million for 2025, driven by 13% revenue growth, disciplined cost control and a lower tax rate on banking operations. The loan book expanded 13% to K3.3 billion, underpinning a 20% increase in net interest income to K268 million, while non-interest income grew 6% on strong foreign exchange and digital channel performance, despite higher provisions for aged non-performing loans.
Operating costs rose just 4% to K298 million, improving the cost-to-income ratio to 55% from 59% and reinforcing the bank’s operating efficiency. Kina maintained a 17% capital adequacy ratio and lifted its full-year dividend by 22% in kina terms, with a payout ratio of 77%, signaling confidence in its balance sheet strength and earnings, as it invests in leadership, risk, technology and digitisation ahead of its new five-year strategic plan.
