Keppel Expands Commitment to Sustainable Power

Keppel Corporation Limited (SG:BN4) has released an update.

Keppel Corporation and Keppel Infrastructure Trust are set to enhance and prolong their partnership for the Keppel Merlimau Cogen (KMC) Plant, aiming to extend the Capacity Tolling Agreement by 10 years to 2040 and the Operations & Maintenance contract to 2044, potentially generating over $1.4 billion in revenue. The move is expected to secure stable cash flows and strengthen Keppel’s position in Singapore’s energy market, while also allowing for future upgrades to reduce carbon emissions and adapt to hydrogen use. The KMC Plant, operational since 2007, continues to play a key role in Singapore’s journey towards a lower carbon power sector.
