KDX Realty Investment Corporation has arranged a total of ¥10 billion in new debt financing across multiple loan series, some of which are structured as green loans aligned with its Sustainability Finance Framework, which holds a top-tier SU 1(F) rating from Japan Credit Rating Agency. The new borrowings, sourced from a syndicate of major Japanese banks, feature a mix of short- and long-term maturities, with part of the proceeds earmarked to refinance existing loans and part to fund the April 1 acquisition of KDX Residence Mizue, nudging total interest-bearing debt to ¥584.43 billion and reinforcing the REIT’s balance sheet positioning and sustainability-focused funding strategy.

Most of the Series 0048 loans will be used to repay maturing borrowings at the end of March 2026, helping KDXR smooth its debt maturity profile while maintaining unsecured, unguaranteed funding lines. Series 0049 financing will support strategic portfolio growth through residential acquisition, while the expanded use of green loans signals to investors and lenders that KDXR is integrating environmental criteria into its capital structure, which may enhance its appeal to ESG-focused stakeholders and potentially improve financing flexibility over the long term.
