Kazia Therapeutics has unveiled encouraging Phase I study results at the ASTRO 2024, showing that its drug, paxalisib, when used with radiation therapy, may offer a new treatment avenue for patients with brain tumors linked to PI3K pathway mutations. The study demonstrated a 67% partial response rate, which is notably higher than historical rates for standard whole brain radiation therapy.
