Kazatomprom Expands Management, Appoints New Director

National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC GDR RegS (GB:KAP) has released an update.

National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC has expanded its Management Board from seven to eight members, appointing Mr. Zhanat Umerbekov as the new Managing Director for HR and HSE effective 27 June 2024. Umerbekov, equipped with over 22 years of experience and multiple degrees in Law, Finance, and an MBA in Mining Management, previously worked in various senior HR and security positions. This move is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its leadership as the world’s leading uranium producer, with a focus on health, safety, and environmental standards.
