An announcement from Kavango Resources ( (GB:KAV) ) is now available.
Kavango Resources has completed a comprehensive metallurgical testwork programme on ore from its Hillside Gold Project in Zimbabwe, delivering highly positive results for the design of its 50 tonnes-per-day carbon-in-leach plant and a planned expansion to 250 tonnes per day. Laboratory work on various ore blends from the Nightshift and Bill’s Luck deposits showed overall gold recoveries above 95% in ideal conditions, with expected real-world recoveries in the low 90% range, and confirmed that optimal processing can be achieved using standard grind sizes, gravity concentration and leach parameters.
The testwork found that most of the gold is present as native, non-refractory metal with minimal deleterious elements, implying normal reagent and energy consumption and limited risk from gold-robbing carbon or high copper and zinc levels. Management says the results de-risk the imminent commissioning of the Hillside plant and support further resource growth and potential capacity increases, suggesting a more robust production profile and improving confidence for investors and project stakeholders.
Spark’s Take on KAV Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, KAV is a Neutral.
The score is held down primarily by weak financial performance driven by large and widening losses plus heavy cash burn, despite a stronger balance sheet with no reported debt. Technical signals are broadly neutral and do not provide a strong offset. Valuation remains challenged because earnings are negative and dividend support is not evident in the provided data.
