Karelian Diamond Resources ( (GB:KDR) ) has provided an announcement.
Karelian Diamond Resources has completed a three-hole winter drilling programme at its Anomaly 5 target in the Kuhmo project area of eastern Finland, intersecting probable olivine lamproite breccia in two holes beneath a thick overburden. Olivine lamproite, a rock type associated with major diamond mines globally, along with diagnostic rock types and previous indicator mineral work, suggests the drilling is on the edge of a larger intrusive system with potential diamondiferous material.
The company plans a focused ground electromagnetic survey to refine drill targeting, including a priority test hole beneath a nearby lake at the head of the Anomaly 5 indicator mineral train. Core samples are being prepared for detailed petrographic and geochemical analysis to classify the material and assess its diamond potential, with the presence of picroilmenite xenocrysts reinforcing the likelihood that this or related intrusions are the source of the Anomaly 5 kimberlite indicator mineral train.
Spark’s Take on KDR Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, KDR is a Neutral.
The score is held down primarily by weak financial performance (no revenue, recurring losses, and generally negative free cash flow), partially offset by a low-debt balance sheet. Technicals are supportive (price above key moving averages) but tempered by an overbought RSI, while valuation provides limited support due to a negative P/E and no dividend yield.
