JINUSHI Co., Ltd. has announced that BALM Co., Ltd. has filed a lawsuit against it in response to JINUSHI’s claims for penalties due to breaches of contractual provisions related to fixed-term land leases. The lawsuit, filed in the Tokyo District Court, seeks a declaratory judgment on the non-existence of obligations for the penalties claimed by JINUSHI, which amount to 5,589 million yen. JINUSHI plans to respond appropriately and substantiate the legitimacy of its claims.
