Jindalee Lithium Limited, the company behind North America’s largest lithium deposit, is in the process of seeking non-dilutive grant funding from the US Department of Defense for its McDermitt Lithium Project, after an unsuccessful bid with the Department of Energy. The Defense grant, aimed at expediting the project’s feasibility study and related activities, is currently under further review, with a decision expected by the end of 2024. Despite the setback with the Department of Energy, Jindalee remains eligible for future US government funding initiatives designed to boost domestic production of essential minerals.
