Japan Tobacco (JP:2914) has released an update.
Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT) is set to receive a substantial dividend of USD 1,100 million from its subsidiary JT International Holding B.V. on August 27, 2024, which will be recorded as non-operating income for the fiscal year 2024. This influx will not materially impact JT’s consolidated financial results, despite bolstering its non-consolidated financials. JT Group operates in over 130 markets, focusing on tobacco, pharmaceuticals, processed food, and Reduced-Risk Products through its Ploom brand.
