An update from Electric Power Development Co ( (JP:9513) ) is now available.

Electric Power Development Co. (J-POWER) has revised its full-year forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, projecting lower operating revenue but higher ordinary profit on a consolidated basis, driven by improved domestic thermal power earnings and stronger overseas performance aided by a weaker yen. Nonetheless, profit attributable to owners of the parent and non-consolidated profit are now expected to fall sharply due to reduced dividends from a U.S. subsidiary and sizable special losses.

The company plans to book about ¥54 billion in special losses on a consolidated basis, including an impairment on an Australian project under Genex Power, write-downs tied to the Ohma Nuclear Power Plant equipment disposal, additional impairment for the decommissioning of Takasago Thermal Power Plant, and the cancellation of an onshore wind project. Despite the downward profit revision and asset impairments that underscore project and market risks in thermal, nuclear, and renewables portfolios, J-POWER is maintaining its annual dividend forecast at ¥100 per share in line with its medium-term shareholder return policy.

The most recent analyst rating on (JP:9513) stock is a Buy with a Yen5048.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Electric Power Development Co stock, see the JP:9513 Stock Forecast page.
