IRIS Metals Limited has announced the successful conversion of spodumene concentrate from its Beecher Project into 99.5% battery-grade lithium carbonate, a significant step in securing domestic critical mineral supply chains in the U.S. The company has moved from exploration to being a near-term producer, with a maiden mineral resource estimate expected in 2025, and has signed an MOU with ReElement Technologies for further development, aiming to become one of the first new domestic suppliers of compliant lithium for the growing U.S. market.
