An update from Invinity Energy Systems ( (GB:IES) ) is now available.
Invinity Energy Systems has been selected by Switzerland’s FlexBase Group to design a vanadium flow battery of up to 1.5 GWh, potentially expanding to 2.1 GWh, for a new AI datacentre and technology campus in Laufenburg on the Switzerland-Germany border. The system, expected to be the world’s largest flow battery, will support on-site renewables and provide grid stabilisation services.
The project, which broke ground in 2025 and is under construction, now moves into an engineering phase running through 2026–27 that will generate engineering revenue for Invinity subject to milestones, with a follow-on equipment order anticipated afterward. The mandate underscores Invinity’s growing track record in large-scale flow batteries, following delivery of the U.K.’s biggest vanadium flow system, and reinforces its competitive position as a provider of safe, modular, long-duration storage for data and power infrastructure developers.
The most recent analyst rating on (GB:IES) stock is a Buy with a £40.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Invinity Energy Systems stock, see the GB:IES Stock Forecast page.
