International Graphite Limited ( (AU:IG6) ) has shared an announcement.
International Graphite has reported further strong results from purification testwork at ALKEEMIA’s specialist graphite laboratories in Porto Marghera, Venice, where all seven concentrate samples, including material from its Springdale project, exceeded the 99.9% total graphitic carbon purity target. The outcomes validate ALKEEMIA’s hydrofluoric acid-based purification technology across multiple flake sizes and sources, supporting production of high-grade industrial graphite products and broadening the potential supply base for the planned processing hub.
The company has secured up to 50% of the start-up capacity at ALKEEMIA’s 200 tonne-per-year industrial purification plant, which is slated to begin operations in 2026 and expand to 20,000 tonnes annually by 2030. International Graphite and ALKEEMIA are finalising design, cost estimates and commercial agreements for their 51:49 joint venture processing hub, while negotiating feedstock supply and sales arrangements with multiple graphite concentrate suppliers and a leading European graphite sales firm, positioning the venture to enhance supply security and market access.
