Interfor Corporation has announced the indefinite suspension of its lumber manufacturing facilities in Georgia and South Carolina due to weak lumber market conditions. The shutdowns, affecting 180 employees, are part of an organized wind-down to be completed by the end of Q3 2024, with some employees being offered positions at other company locations. Market conditions will continue to be assessed for further production adjustments.
