Instalco Wins SEK 100 Million Prison Installation Contract in Skövde

The latest announcement is out from Instalco AB ( (SE:INSTAL) ).

Instalco has secured an approximately SEK 100 million contract for heating, plumbing, sprinkler, ventilation and cooling installations at a new prison facility in Skövde. The project, delivered by subsidiaries Tofta Plåt & Ventilation, Sprinklerbolaget and LG Contracting in partnership with Peab and Arne Lorentzon Fastigheter, involves converting a 13,000-square-metre office building into a correctional facility to help meet Sweden’s rising demand for prison capacity.

The assignment underscores Instalco’s strong position in security-critical public infrastructure, building on previous work for the Swedish Prison and Probation Service in several cities. The project will pursue BREEAM sustainability certification and be classified as a Sustainable Instalco Project, with planning starting immediately, installations beginning after summer 2026 and completion targeted for 2028, reinforcing the company’s role in sustainable, large-scale institutional projects.
