Innovotech Inc. has reported that its InnovoSIL™-1 antimicrobial silver product has proven effective against COVID-19 strains and Norovirus, showing rapid virucidal activity in recent studies. The substance, designed for broad-spectrum antimicrobial use including biofilm prevention, also shows potential in a range of applications from wound dressings to air filters. While effective against various viruses, InnovoSIL™-1 demonstrated limited or no effect on adenovirus and poliovirus.
