Infinity Mining Limited ( (AU:IMI) ) just unveiled an update.
Infinity Mining has expanded its partnership with technology provider Orivium Global through a new binding Memorandum of Cooperation that adds e-waste processing to its existing metals recovery plans at the Cangai project. The deal aims to combine metals extraction from Cangai slag stockpiles with e-waste feedstock, giving the company exposure to Australia’s growing e-waste market and a pathway to earlier revenue.
Orivium’s Super Oxidiser technology allows high-recovery, low-impact extraction of copper and other valuable metals from both ore and e-waste using a modular, closed-loop process. Recent advancements have enabled a capital-light plant design that could materially cut upfront costs and improve project economics, while permitting, site selection and lab validation are already well advanced, and Infinity is pursuing grant funding to limit shareholder dilution.
The initial plant will prioritise processing and rehabilitating historical stockpiles at Cangai, with parallel efforts to secure e-waste feedstock and additional Australian project opportunities. Although the original construction timeline has been extended due to the broader scope and supply lead times, Infinity expects the integrated ore and e-waste strategy, combined with a profit-sharing model favouring feedstock suppliers, to enhance returns and support scalable roll-out across further sites.
