Image Systems AB ( (SE:IS) ) just unveiled an announcement.

Image Systems AB reported a weak first quarter of 2026 as subdued investment appetite and prolonged customer decision cycles hit order intake and revenue, particularly in its RemaSawco unit exposed to a depressed wood products market. Group order intake fell to SEK 18.6 million and net sales to SEK 17.7 million, driving EBITDA down to SEK -6.7 million despite a higher gross margin, underscoring that profitability remains unsatisfactory.

RemaSawco was pressured by low demand and high raw material costs for sawmills, prompting the company to combine efficiency measures and cost control with ongoing product development to be ready for a future upturn. By contrast, Motion Analysis delivered steadier development with rising order intake and a stronger backlog in subscription and support services, advancing the strategic shift toward recurring revenue even though this weighs on short-term earnings.

With liquidity strained and cash plus undrawn credit reduced to SEK 28.4 million, Image Systems bolstered its financing through new bank borrowings while keeping its equity ratio at 50 percent, in line with long-term targets. Management is prioritizing cash flow, financial discipline and business adaptation to current market conditions, while continuing selective investments in product development, AI support, and service offerings to strengthen long-term scalability and profitability.
