Image Resources NL ( (AU:IMA) ) has provided an announcement.
Image Resources NL has reported encouraging initial metallurgical results from a crude composite sample at its 100%-owned Erayinia King gold project in Western Australia, with more than 40% of the gold recovered as free gold via Knelson gravity separation before leaching. Subsequent cyanide bottle roll tests achieved over 90% gold recovery under standard conditions, suggesting the ore is likely amenable to a flowsheet combining gravity separation and CIL processing, which could enhance project economics through lower operating and potentially reduced capital costs.
The company stressed the early-stage and non-representative nature of the sample, noting that the results are qualitative but provide a positive indication for further metallurgical work to support a potential pre-feasibility study. Building on a positive high-level open-pit desktop assessment, Image is mobilising a drilling campaign of about 7,000 metres through reverse circulation and diamond core holes to upgrade and expand Mineral Resources, test mineralisation at depth, and collect fresh samples for detailed metallurgical, geotechnical and geological studies.
